about me

Hailing from South Devon, and having passed through the towns of Bristol and Brighton, I came to France in 2011. I came to build a life for myself (and others) which would bring me back towards the Earth, and give me more intimacy with her nature. I also wanted to find a way to live with people; a way that held dear the values of community, and that shared its benefits. My working background is a mix of stonemasonry, landscaping and garden design, with an education – starting a little later in life than most – that includes horticulture, garden design and permaculture design.

My great affinity in life is with Nature – in all her forms – and I would most certainly include us humans within that parentheses. Working with Nature whether it be in the fields of natural building, garden designing or habitat and landscape regeneration is my most profound motivation, and my actions are guided by a desire to offer and share my experiences for the benefit of all who share these passions.

“…the old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man’s heart, away from nature, becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans, too. So he kept his children close to nature’s softening influence.”
